I am starting a lawn care business, would my customers need to sign a contract?

Having a contract protects both you and the customer. Detail what services you will be doing, frequency and for what cost per service. If any of the services are optional (at the customer's request) they are listed as well and that the customer has to authorize them. Make sure to keep a customer file/folder where you keep notes; phone calls, recommendations, etc. This will help prove your case if you need to go to court.
